January 2012 Restaurant Night Details TBA Also, during the month of January Germain is hosting a Book Exchange. Bring your old books and exchange them for some new ones. Books will be collected throughout the month of January in a box marked books in the foyer. On January 30th and 31st from 8am to 11am in room #34 parents can come in to pick out new books for their young readers. February 3, 2012 at 8:15AM in the Parent Center will be our next Spring Festival Planning Meeting. If you are not able to attend but have some ideas or products for games, please email Michelle Oberg at cmoberg_2000@yahoo.com. Also, on February 10, 2012 the PTA is proud to sponsor our annual Valentine’s Day Dance. Keep the evening free for this fun event. Remember students must be accompanied by their parents…more information TBAOn April 20th, 2012 from 1:30PM to 6:00PM is our Spring Festival with its exciting theme:

MIGHTY MUSTANG READING CLUB
Our Mighty Mustang Reading Club needs books for our wonderful, dedicated readers! Please consider helping our students! TOY DRIVE
Girl Scout Troop 456 is hosting a TOY DRIVE until Friday, December 9th. Please drop off the toys by 3:00 PM in the
main hallway next to the auditorium. Toys will be donated to the STUFF-A-BUS, SPARK OF LOVE TOY DRIVE in
Woodland Hills.
CHATSWORTH PARADE
Germain Girl Scout Troops 456 and 4796 and Cub Scout Troop
466 will be marching in the Chatsworth Holiday Parade this Sunday, December 11,
2011 at 1:00 PM. Come and see us and cheer for Germain!!!

We had a great kick off for Germain PTA’s Entertainment Book Fundraiser on Monday!
If you have family out of town or state who would like to purchase an Entertainment Book

*Students who wish to receive a prize (a key chain for 1 book) (plush puppy for 2 books)
(surprise in backpack for 3 books), need to turn in their envelope by Friday, November 18th 2011
during the school day.
If you need more books please turn in the money and the book will be delivered to your
child’s classroom.

off our Coupon Book Fundraiser.
For $30.00 you can
purchase hundreds of coupons from free meals to 50% off…
The book being sent home is to be used as the selling tool.
When you sell a book than bring in the
money and we will get a new book back to you.
Remember this can also apply to friends,
family, even those out of state.
Guidelines will be supplied with the packet that your child will bring home this Monday.
If not interested please return the coupon
book to your child’s classroom.

This years pumpkin decoration contest was outstanding. Our theme was Storybook Characters. From Humpty Dumpty, The Cat In The Hat, “Jack”, Papa Smurf, and Tinker Bell to Pacman, we had some wonderful characters. Who was your favorite?
