Come wearing your favorite PJ’s and bring a blanket or snuggle buddy to cozy up to and listen to some fabulous stories. If you would like to be a volunteer reader please let us know. PTA Elections: Ever think you are too busy to help at school? Know the importance of parent volunteers but don’t think you can commit to a titled position? YOU CAN. The current board is made of working parents who find the time and work hard to plan fun events, raise money for field trips, assemblies, and much needed supplies LAUSD does not provide. The current board is ending their term and they need a few new faces to join the fun team. The more that help, the easier it is. Get to know more parents, teachers, and staff and feel the reward of volunteering on the PTA board.
PTA Fund Raising News: The 2011 Spring Festival is in full swing. Room Parents: start your engines. Start planning your room baskets for the silent auction. Committees have been formed and we still need enthusiastic and creative volunteers to help plan this event. If you are interested in joining a committee please contact PTA President Michelle Gunther luv_my_kidz@hotmail.com. This years festival is planned to be on Saturday April 30th. Ask your employers if they can donate money or goods to your child’s school for the silent auction.
