Hello Germain Parents – We continue to receive and process orders for the yearbook and have just under 30 yearbooks still available.

Don’t miss your opportunity to place an order and capture the year’s memories for your children. Orders can be dropped off at the office or with your child’s teacher.

Yearbooks Have Arrived!

Dear Germain Parents – I’m excited to let you know that the 2010-2011 yearbooks have arrived!!

If your pre-ordered, your child should be receiving the yearbook this week. Distribution to classes started on June 7th.

You can still purchase a yearbook by completing an order form and attaching payment. The price for the yearbook is $21. Order forms are available in the office and will be distributed to students.

This year’s yearbook looks fantastic! Don’t miss your opportunity to purchase one. Submit your completed order form and payment to your child’s teacher today!

Orders received through the end of the school year will be processed as received and yearbooks routed to the respective teacher.

Student Photos for the Yearbook

Dear Germain Parents – The Yearbook Committee is planning on being on campus tomorrow, Friday March 11, to take photos of the students that were not present on the days that the class photos were taken for the 2010/2011 school year.

We want to have photo of all of our students in the yearbook!

Tomorrow, starting at 8:00 am, yearbook committee members will be going to each class and asking for the students that didn’t get their photo taken to step outside for a quick snapshot.

The final opportunity to have the missing photos taken will be next Friday, March 18.

Please Help Save Our Yearbook!

The Germain Street School yearbook may not get produced this year if we cannot find a chairperson to lead the yearbook committee! Please consider yourself for this role as it may not be as challenging as you think. As a chair for the yearbook committee, you will be coordinating the work of many yearbook committee members (10 currently) who will make your job much easier. In addition, you will have a lot of guidance available throughout the year from an on-site advisor as well as an off-site advisor for technical/production issues. If you value having a yearbook this year for your child, I urge you to volunteer now to be the new 2010-2011 Yearbook Chair. Please email deekaub@yahoo.com to volunteer.

Last Chance to get your Photos in the Yearbook!

February is the final Monthly Group Photo Contest for the 2009-2010 school year and your last chance to submit photos to us to use in the yearbook. The deadline date to receive photos for the contest is technically Friday, February 26th, however, I’m willing to offer a special grace period for this month’s contest since its our last one for the year. You can still be considered for the February contest if you get your photos to me by Monday, March 1st. To enter the contest, just send us your best group photos of Germain students. The more photos you send, the greater your chances of winning a Starbucks gift card! Plus you’ll see your very own photos published in the school yearbook.

We’d love to have photos from any of the events so far this school year as well as photos from field trips and holiday class parties.

Some Photo Tips:
* Please take high resolution, digital pictures.
* Please do not use your phones to take pictures, use your camera instead.
* Pictures should be taken on campus, not at home.

Email your digital photos to deekaub@yahoo.com or burn a CD of your photos and turn them into the Yearbook box in the office by Monday, March 1st along with your name, your child’s name, your phone number, and email address.

Don’t miss this opportunity! Friday, December 18th is the last day to send in your photos for consideration in our December monthly photo contest. I have not received any entries yet this month, so your odds of winning are really high. I just know that you must have some cute shots you’ve taken at your child’s holiday party in their classroom or a recent field trip that they went on just sitting in your camera. For those of you who forget to download your photos, don’t worry, you can send in any pictures you’ve taken from the first day of school until now. Wouldn’t you love to see a photo you took printed up in our yearbook? As a bonus, you could also win a Starbucks Gift Card! Please email your photos to me at deekaub@yahoo.com or burn a CD of your photos and place it in the Yearbook box in the school office with your contact information. I know that many of you may have pictures you took during the Halloween Parade or at other school events that have occurred so far this year. Please consider sending these in!
