McDonald’s Night – 11-18-09 @ 5 pm
Fundraiser night at our local McDonald’s. on November 18 from 5 pm – 8 pm.
They will donate a % of all the sales to Germain!!!
There will be a raffle for a new bicycle, face painting and more.

“Spooky” Family Fun Night this Friday night at 6:30 pm.
Come to the auditorium for fun crafts and Boo grams. Wear your Halloween costume and enjoy an evening of fun with other Germain families.

Germain St. Kicks-Off Red Ribbon Week
All week students will Focus on Health Education in the Classroom. Germain’s health programs include the Second Step conflict Resolution program, and the Too Good for Drugs Prevention Programs.
Actress Jennifer Taylor, from CBS TV's "Two and a Half Men", and Germain's-own Donna Lacour, kick-off Germain Street Elementary School's Red Ribbon Week.
This week our students will be participating in the following activities:
Monday, Oct. 26: Hands Off Drugs! Every student will be receiving a special “Hands Off Drugs” homework assignment.
Tuesday, Oct. 27: Pledge Day. Students will receive a wrist band when they pledge to “Live Drug Free”.
Wednesday, Oct. 28: Sock It To Drugs! Students are encouraged to wear crazy, funny, mismatched or bright colored socks to school.
Thursday, Oct. 29: Red Rally Day. Students can show their “Live Drug Free” spirit by wearing something red.
Friday, Oct. 30: Red Ribbon Themed Door Decorating Contest. A raffle will be held to decide the winners, among all participating classrooms. Grand prize will be pizza from Round Table Pizza!
Also Friday: remember to bring costumes and decorated pumpkins for the costume parade and pumpkin decorating contest. Red Ribbon raffle will be held during the costume parade.

Vincenzo’s Fundraiser til this weekend!!!
Thank you to the families that went to Vincenzo’s tonight for the 5th grade fundraiser. It takes a community working together, helping each other to make our schools successful. The restaurant has graciously extended the fundraiser offer through this weekend. Please be sure and tell them the you are from Germain Street School.

PTA Meeting – Tuesday 10-20-09 @ 7 pm
There is a PTA association meeting tomorrow night, Tuesday @ 7pm in the auditorium. All are welcome to come. You do not need to be a PTA member to join the meeting. We will have a guest speaker, Mrs. Donna Lacour. She will be presenting the Second Step Program. Don’t know what that is? … come and find out!
There will also be a raffle, an appetizer pot luck (bring your tastiest creations).
Don’t forget to bring your Box Tops too!
YMCA will be there to watch children. Parents please walk kids to the YMCA room to sign them in.
